First try of Mickey’s subs today. Wow! Everything was super fresh The bread was delicious! I had the Italian and whatever sauce comes on it was on point! We will definitely be repeat customers!
Really good sandwich! Everyday that I was in Tampa I stopped by and grabbed a different sandwich. They were all good! The ingredients/ vegetables were all so fresh. Boar’s Head meats, crispy pickles and fresh bread!! You can’t beat it.
I have been here twice now and I have loved it both times. Mickey, the owner, is one of the nicest restaurant owners I have met thus far. He is so personable and makes you feel welcomed the whole time you are in the shop. I got the Italian sub both times and thoroughly enjoyed it.
“Mickey” Michael Dortch.. is a trained chef that is native to the bay area. Michael has been involved in hospitality for about 13 years . He got his first job working for Casper Corporation at the age of 15 and never looked back. When Michael was 23 he became the sales rep for Brandon Restaurant Supply located in West Tampa. Michael got experience in buying and selling new and used restaurant equipment for the next 3 years. From there Michael attended Johnson and Whales University Charlotte where he pursued a degree in culinary arts. While attending school Michael was working for a local equipment dealer in Charlotte before and after school selling equipment and doing some small kitchen design work for local projects. After 18 months Michael came home and started helping out with some local projects and trying to find his niche . It wasn’t until Michael got a job with the local utility company as a territory sales representative selling gas commodities and general customer care. There ,Michael was exposed to many new concepts that hit the bay area. After getting 3 more years of experience under his belt and a few hundred projects , Michael decided to leave the corporate world and head back to the kitchen to develop his new concept Mickey's Subs!!order now
